If you weren't there, you should have been. If you haven't gone to check it out for yourself yet, then go! These pieces are sure to stir the soul and inspire you in ways you wouldn't expect. Not only are the colours, the different styles and subject matter going to educate you, but the sheer scale of the murals in itself will prove the pure talent it takes to be part of this world. Such a great experience and so glad to have taken our kids along for the ride. By the way our kids raved about the day to there grandmother, I think its the beginning of many family road trips to come.

Watching Owen Dippie hard at work on his 'Heni' piece, a beautiful empowering Wahine Toa. As for the other piece that was still in progress by Berst, unfortunately this one can no longer be enjoyed. Heard and believed rumours that council swept in and painted it out without warning but a good friend notified us that there was miscommunication between the billboard owners and there owned wall of 2metre radius. A little bummed but hey, tis the nature of the beast.
This is Lisa Dorenfest. A self taught photographer and street art enthusiast who just so happens to be sailing around the world on her yacht and stopping at different locations in search of some Street eye candy. What a pleasure it was to meet her for the very first time. Her charisma and zest for life is so infectious, its no wander people naturally gravitate to her. We wish her all the best on her travels and hope to meet up with her in the near future.

Bought all the skiddy kiddies with us that day. Didn't think our tour was going to be 3 hours long but the kids were troopers and stuck it out till the end. Pretty sure everyone in our tour group helped us out more than once herding them in the right direction. - Art by New Zealand Artist Gasp
